The Series 37CT ‘Phoenix’ Fire Rated Roller Shutter is a highly versatile and durable solution, offering exceptional fire-resistant performance for countertop and servery hatch applications. Designed for environments requiring both physical security and fire protection, it is ideally suited to schools, hospitals, and commercial premises where a neat, discreet shutter system is essential.

Purpose-designed features make the Series 37CT “Phoenix” exceptionally well suited to countertop applications. Key enhancements include a reinforced bottom rail, specifically engineered to resist the increased positive pressure generated above floor level during a fire, and an intumescent fire-retardant seal housed within a steel retainer above the opening. Under extreme heat conditions, the seal expands to help preserve the shutter’s integrity, even as the surrounding structure begins to distort.

In the event of a fire alarm activation, an interface relay panel initiates a controlled powered descent of the shutter via a 240V AC tubular motor. For enhanced safety and reliability, an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) with battery backup is supplied as standard, ensuring the shutter will close even in the event of a mains power failure.

For everyday operation, the shutter can be controlled using either a push-button station or key switch. The curtain is manufactured from interlocking 2” flat lath sections, allowing for a more compact shutter box design. This reduces headroom requirements above the opening while delivering a cleaner, more aesthetically refined appearance.

The shutter design has been thoroughly inspected, tested and audited by Warringtonfire, an accredited independent testing group, enabling us to issue Declaration of Performance. Performance characteristics are according to the harmonised standard BS EN 13241-1:2003+A2:2016 and tested to BS EN 1634-1:2014 + A1:2018, giving our customers peace of mind that the fire shutter systems we manufacture are of the highest quality and are fully compliant with the latest British and European standards.

All of our roller shutter systems are manufactured in house at our production facility in Wigan, Greater Manchester, and are subject to continuous product development, so the door user can be assured of both proven and state-of-the-art technology whilst maintaining ease of installation.
